According to a report on Metro UK, Abramovich is willing to smash Chelsea’s transfer record in order to sign Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski in a £100m deal this summer.
The 29-year-old striker is keen on leaving this summer after spending eight years in the German Bundesliga.
Abramovich reportedly wants to prove to Hazard that Chelsea can compete next season by signing Lewandoski from Bayern Munich.
The Chelsea board reportedly believes Lewandoski wants to leave Bayern Munich and are willing to spend up to £100million on the 29-year-old.
Metro UK also claim Chelsea will likely sell Alvaro Morata to fund the move for Lewandoski.
Morata has endured a difficult first season at Stamford Bridge and was left out of Spain’s 23-man World Cup squad.
