Chelsea have received a massive boost to sign Argentina and Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi after the player revealed that he could leave the San Siro in the summer, according to report.
Icardi was on the radar of Chelsea last summer but Conte opted to sign Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid, and the Spaniard is already linked with a move away from Chelsea.
Even though the future of Conte for Chelsea still remains bleak, the club apparently need to sign a ball player striker and Icardi is a perfect definition of that type of striker.
Nonetheless, Icardi may be sacrifice by Inter Milan in the summer in order for them to balance their books as they unlikely going to qualify for the Champions League
Inter Milan must win their final game of the season to ensure qualification but they will be playing against Lazio, who are in need of just a point to seal fourth spot on the Seria A log.
Inter Milan would have cemented their place in the Seria A table but they suffered a defeat to Sassuolo last Saturday and Icardi was quizzed about his future afterwards.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, he said: “I repeat every year, I will speak to the club. If it’s good for the team that I stay, then I’ll stay, otherwise I will leave. I always do what is best for the club and the team. When the season ends, we’ll talk to the club and see what is best for them.”
Icardi has netted 28-goals in 33 league appearances for Inter Milan this season and this is not the first time his been on form. He is valued at 75,00 Mill. € according to transfermarkt and Chelsea should do well to sign him
