Chelsea One Step Away From Completing Transfer Of €75m Attacker- Skysports

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata is on the verge of sealing a move with Seria A giants AC Milan, this is according to report.

Morata has been frolicking with Italian base football clubs in the past weeks and he has been heavily tipped to exit Chelsea before the world cup competition. He was spotted with the CEO of Juventus Giuseppe Marotta but the Old Lady principal denied any interest in the Spanish striker.

Morata spent two years with the Old Lady before returning to Real Madrid. He arrived Chelsea last season from the Champions League record breakers Real Madrid in a €75million record deal but he has failed to prove his mettle by the standard of the Blues.

The Spanish striker ended last season with 13-goals in all competitions but he found himself playing second fiddle to former Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud and he knows he is likely going to be a bit-part player next season.

Skysport Italia reports via Calciomercato that the only stumbling block to Morata switching Stamford Bridge for the San Siro is his wage demand, which would come too big for the Seria A giants.

AC Milan are very much in the transfer market to sign top-notch footballers but despite the failings of Alvaro Morata for Chelsea last season, they have mooted a move for him according to the report. The Metro claims the Blues will accept offers for Morata and they are looking to sign Gonzalo Higuain or Robert Lewandowski as his replacement.
