Almost Done Deal: Reported Chelsea target is to make final decision within days

Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri will have to make a final decision over the next coming days as to whether he remains at Partenipei or takes over at a new club.

The latest club to approach Maurizio Sarri is Zenit Saint Petersburg, who have tried to get the Italian coach to Russia in the past and they are trying to bring him in again.

The club’s management hopes to get Sarri with the plan of a new project and a salary of a €4 million net of taxes with extra bonuses.



Over the past week, the Russian club’s officials met Maurizio Sarri at his home in Naples. Representing Zenit Saint Petersburg were Mitrofanov and Dyukov, who are the two contenders for club’s president role, also present was lawyer Giulio Dini.

If Maurizio says he will join the Russian club, Zenit Saint Petersburg are considering payment to Partenopei to trigger the release (buy-out) clause in his contract.

Sarri is expected to make a final decision this week on his future with the Premier League giants Chelsea apparently keen for him to take over from current manager Antonio Conte.
